Mari Fasshauer, MS - Owner
marif@fitnesstogether.com

Mari began instructing clients while at the University of Michigan working toward her Master's degree in Kinesiology. She has over 14 years of fitness experience and holds three national certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. She is also a certified Massage Therapist.

Mari enjoys running and yoga, has eight years of experience in competitive gymnastics and has completed four marathons. Her next challenge will be learning to kayak in the Fox River and how to navigate the Prairie Path with a "baby jogger".

Mari has found one-on-one training profoundly rewarding for both her clients and her and believes there is nothing that compares to providing client-centered, solution-oriented fitness training with an emphasis not only on results, but also on client education and satisfaction. She strives to give you "real life" fitness solutions that guide you to achieving your personal best.

Greg Bashore, BS – Operations Manager

Greg is a 2006 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana with a degree in Sports Studies and a minor in Behavioral Science. He enjoys sports and weight lifting. Greg played baseball all four years at Grace and was Co-Captain his senior year. He plans on going back to school to get his masters in Exercise Physiology. His goals are to give clients an encouraging environment to reach their goals.

 


Brandon Sharpe, BS – Personal Trainer

Brandon is a recent graduate of Wheaton College. He earned a B.S. in Kinesiology while playing four years of Baseball. Brandon wants to go back to school and get his degree in secondary education and coach baseball at the high school level. He enjoys sports of all kinds as well as many other outdoor activities.

 


Cristy Trautwein, BA – Personal Trainer

Cristy is a 2006 graduate of Trinity Christian College with a BA in Exercise Science. She holds a personal training certification from American Council of Exercise (ACE). She enjoys sports and played both high school and collegiate basketball. She hopes to go on to earn a masters in Athletic Training. She enjoys encouraging and challenging her clients to help them achieve their fitness goals.

 


Nathan Quinnett, BA – Personal Trainer

Nathan is a recent graduate from the University of Iowa, where he earned a degree in Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology. He spent a year working at a rehab clinic and decided to make the switch over to FT’s unique one-on-one training studios so he can really connect with his clients. He is currently an ACE certified personal trainer.

Nathan has a passion for exercise and sports. He played basketball and volleyball in high school. He earned All-Conference his senior year for basketball, and played varsity volleyball his freshman and sophomore years. At the University of Iowa, Nathan engaged in many intramural sports, including basketball, flag football, volleyball, softball, and Ultimate Frisbee. His team became Intramural Champions for Ultimate Frisbee during the 2004-2005 season!

The human body fascinates Nathan, and his aspirations are to spread his knowledge on to his clients while helping them achieve their desired fitness goals. He plans on going back to school to become a paramedic, so that he may continue to help all that he can.

 


 

Nikki Kielion, BA – Personal Trainer

Nikki is a recent 2007 graduate of Western Illinois University with a BA in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. She earned her personal training certification through American Council on Exercise (ACE). She enjoys being active and helping clients to adapt to a dynamic lifestyle.

Amber Demers, BS – Personal Trainer

Amber is a 2005 graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL with a BA in Exercise Science. She holds personal training certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and Scirion Institute of Exercise Physiology.

Amber has been involved with many sports, including 10 years of figure skating and 5 years as a gymnast. Recently, she has also been taking kickboxing and swing dancing lessons.

Amber hopes to continue her education in exercise physiology or physical therapy. Her fascination with the human body and how it moves and responds to its environment has been her motivation for years. She hopes to use her education and experience to create safe, effective programs for her clients and help people feel better about themselves and their improved quality of life.

 


Melissa Andersen, BS – Personal Trainer

Melissa is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where she earned a B.S. in Movement Sciences. She also graduated from the National Personal Training Institute in Lisle, IL. She is currently certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

Melissa played softball earlier in life. She is currently interested in boxing and her goal is to train professionally in the near future. She enjoys any activity that can be done outside including hiking and biking. She also competes in a 5K race every December and is looking forward to competing in more.

Melissa would like to continue her education and get her Masters degree in Applied Exercise Physiology. Her goal is to share her passion of health and fitness with each client and to teach them how to achieve this on their own.

 


Justin Stasny, BS – Personal Trainer

Justin is a graduate from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN with a BS in Kinesiology.  He is currently certified from the American College of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist. From his educational background, he has gained an understanding of the mechanics of the human body and its movement and how the body's physiological systems are integrated in the performance of exercise, work, and sports activities.
 
Justin has been involved in sports his entire life, and weight training for over 13 years.  Currently, he focuses on bodybuilding and mixed martial arts including Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, submission wrestling, and Jui-Jitsu.
 
Justin is a firm believer that if you put in the hard work, you will achieve whatever it is that you want.  This includes your physical fitness, how you feel, and how you look.  No one will tell you getting in shape is easy, but that is what makes it so much sweeter when you do.
